Reception and FirstFriday ArtWalk

Friday, February 3, 2006, 6-9 pm

We are excited to present new work by Venezuelan artist, Carlos Sanchez Vegas.

He has shown at CHIZ since 1997 and has developed many collectors and admirers here.

Sanchez Vegas has delved into a completely new subject for this exhibit, a departure from

past circus and opera projects. This current work consists of colored pencil drawings

on handmade paper depicting people at Venezuelan beaches.

We hope to see you at the exhibit, which runs from January 10 through February 25.

Unfortunately, Carlos was unable to get a visa this year (Venezuela and the US don’t

seem to be getting along very well lately), so he will not be in Pittsburgh as usual. However,

we hope you will all show up (our artists and all our other friends and collectors) on or

before the February 3 ArtWalk and join us in experiencing this wonderful show.

Our current Holiday Show comes down on January 7, so please come 0in for one last look.

It is a really strong representation of many new and “old” artists’ work, and if you haven’t seen

it yet, please come (and if you have, you probably missed a number of great pieces, so please

come back!!!) We will be open on January 6 for ArtWalk as always from 6 til 9pm.

We hope that you all had and are still having a great holiday season and wish you the best for 2006.
